Aniimo Susuta: How to Get It, Location, Egg and Evolutions

How do you get Susuta in Aniimo?

Susuta is Aniilog No. 049, a Lumin-stage Water creature with the Break role and a 411 base stat total: 81 HP, 72 Break, 64 Regen, 80 M.Def, 61 Attack and 53 P.Def. There are two confirmed acquisition routes, and neither of them is a boss fight.

The wild route is the simple one. Multiple Susuta roam the western beaches of Echoback Landing, sometimes alongside Popota, and they are common enough that community guides describe them as everywhere along the shoreline. Gamer Guru’s Susuta route puts the wild population at level 37–41, which is a single-source figure, so treat the exact band as approximate and check the level over the target’s head before you throw.

The second route is the one that made Susuta famous before launch. The official Aniimo website still describes the pre-registration reward as “a mysterious Susuta egg”, and Game8 confirms that everyone who registered received one through the in-game mailbox. That egg hatches a Susuta with Perfect Potential rather than a random roll, which matters because it skips one layer of the stat grind entirely.

Where do you find Susuta on Echoback Landing?

Susuta lives on the beaches of Echoback Landing, the northwestern shoreline region of Breezy Plains. The basic form appears in daylight and at night, so there is no weather or time gate on the standard catch. The Nighttime form is a separate variant that only appears once the in-game clock rolls past 20:00, on the same stretch of beach rather than somewhere new.

Because Echoback Landing is an early-access coastal region and Susuta is common there, this is one of the easier collection targets in the game, provided you meet the area’s level requirement. If you are sweeping the region for completion, the Echoback Landing location page covers the full spawn list, and the same beach is where you start the Sherro line via Shelly, so a single trip can serve two collection goals.

[!note] The Nighttime Susuta is not a different creature for team-building purposes. It is the same species and the same stat line with a different appearance and spawn window, so do not spend a second slot chasing one unless you are filling the Aniilog.

How does the pre-registration Susuta Egg work?

Hatching is a waiting game rather than a puzzle. Game8’s guide to the reward describes the loop: take the egg to the Outpost or your Homeland, load it into the Hachinator, and let it incubate over a few hours of real time. The egg itself is a mailbox delivery, so if you registered before launch, check your mailbox before you assume you missed it.

[!tip] The egg is your best Susuta regardless of where else you catch one. Perfect Potential is a baseline quality upgrade, and since Susuta’s whole job is breaking a gauge rather than surviving, a better roll is worth keeping even if the wild version is easier to obtain.

What is Susuta actually used for?

Honest answer: Susuta is an early Break body, a water traversal tool, and an evolution step. It is not a creature the current community tier lists fight over, and we would rather say that plainly than pad the section.

• Breaking gauges early. Susuta is a Break-role creature with 72 Break, its second-highest stat. Water Dash deals 74 power with a knockback, and Water Cannon is its area option, hitting for 65 and leaving a puddle behind.
• Water traversal and pathfinding. The official entry lists Pathfinding plus Swim level 1, which makes Susuta a cheap way to cross water while you are still opening up Breezy Plains. It has no mobility skill, so it will not dash or glide.
• The Appeal synergy. Susuta’s trait gives it 30% extra Break efficiency for 15 seconds when it enters battle with an opposite-sex Susuta family member in the party, on a 20-second cooldown. This is the only real build decision the creature has, and it costs you a party slot.
• The Piopiota unlock. Attracting a following Susuta is a hard requirement for the Piopiota evolution branch, not a side activity. Keep a readable Susuta on hand even after you evolve your main one.
• Region and research progress. Catching the basic and Nighttime forms feeds Echoback Landing collection, and Wikily’s Susuta entry lists the Bulbly research tiers in the same regional objective cluster.

What we could not find is any published ranking, usage-rate data or best-team writeup for Susuta. Game8’s own Susuta page still carries placeholder “under construction” headers for its Best Team and Best Build sections, and the wider Break discussions we checked name Inferlupa, Rookey, Wavwal, Geoclaw and Tuckin instead. Community data on Susuta as a competitive pick is genuinely thin. Everything above is what the game itself states about the creature.

How do you evolve Susuta into Popota, Panpanta or Piopiota?

The line is three stages and the split happens at the end. Both branches cost Wave Stones, and both need the creature at Aniimo level 39.

The Piopiota branch is the one that catches people out. Game8’s walkthrough describes the trigger precisely: walk up to a wild Susuta in Echoback Landing until one changes colour and starts following you, then open your Popota’s evolution screen while that follower is active. The follower is the unlock condition, so if you evolved your Popota before doing this, you have not locked yourself out, but you do have to go back to the beach and find a willing partner.

[!warning] The opposite-gender requirement is literal, and every Susuta you own has a gender. Check your party before traveling, because the wild Susuta does not care how good your Popota’s stats are.

For the Panpanta branch you need the Alpha kill instead. That is not a one-time permanent unlock in the way the Alpha Scorchhowl gate is used elsewhere; it is a single prerequisite the game checks at evolution time, so clear the fight before you commit the Wave Stones.

Do you need to raise Susuta, or should you skip it?

Raise it if you are early in the game and short on a Break body, or if you want Piopiota and Panpanta for the Aniilog. Skip it if you already run Inferlupa, Wavwal or Rookey, because the community Break rankings do not place Susuta above any of them and its 53 P.Def means it spends a lot of time on the bench in real fights.

The pre-registration egg is the deciding factor for a lot of accounts. A free Perfect Potential Susuta is a perfectly serviceable early Breaker that costs you nothing to obtain, and its Evolutions are cheap by Nova-stage standards at three Wave Stones each.
